We now have a full team for the Summer Adult Softball League, starting play on July 17th. However, we still need volunteers as reserve players so if you want to get that game day afternoon call asking if you can play that night, email or text and let us know and we will add you to the roster. There is no cost to be a reserve player.
What should I do if I’m interested in playing?
Text your name and email address to Scott Carpenter at (678) 561-0215. Alternatively you can send an email to: coach@LCCsoftball.com. You will be added to our text and email list to receive information about the team.
Where are the games played?
All games are played at Meade Fields just south of Hwy. 74 on Rockaway Rd.
What days and times are the games?
Games are at 7PM, 8PM, or 9PM and will be played on Tuesday. If there is sufficient interest, once the Tuesday team is established, we may also register a team for Monday. The schedule will be released in early July.
Who is eligible to play? Is there a team for women?
Peachtree City considers this an Adult league, not a Men’s league, therefor women are eligible to play. This is not a co-ed league, however. It is played under USA Softball Men’s League rules with no special rules for women.
This is a church team, which governs player behavior, but you do not need to be a church member to join. This is an Adult league so you must be 18 before you can be added to the roster.
Do I need to own any special equipment?
You need a fielding glove designed for softball (not baseball) and an official team shirt with a number. You can play in normal athletic shoes, but softball shoes with rubber cleats are recommended (metal cleats are not allowed) to prevent slips and falls while running bases or fielding. You can bring your own bat, but there are generally many bats there which other players are willing to share (be sure to ask before grabbing someone’s personal bat).
How long is the season?
The season is 10 games, plus a playoff which can be 1-3 addition games. So, barring rainouts, the season lasts 10-12 weeks.
What does it cost to play?
Each player’s portion of the league fee is $50, which works out to slightly less than $5 per game. In addition, you will need to buy a shirt the first season you play and the shirts cost approximately $15-$25, depending on size.
How do I pay my league fee?
Once the team is registered with the league, a PayPal link will be activated on this page which will allow you to pay your league fee and buy a shirt if necessary. You can also drop your payment in the Sunday offering, just be sure to indicate what the payment is for.
