Legacy Christian Church stands with Israel!
The horrific attack by the terrorist regime Hamas on Israel has left them reeling in a state of shock and war. Over 200 hostages were taken to Gaza, where they remain in underground tunnels – elderly, men, women, children, and infants. Over 125,000 Israeli citizens in the northern region of Galilee have been displaced from their homes because the war has spread to their northern border with Hezbollah, and it is not safe for them to remain there.
The leadership at Legacy Christian Church desires to stand with the Jewish people and will take up a love offering that will go directly to where it is most needed through the ministry of The Friends of Israel. Many from our congregation, including our pastor, participated in a tour of Israel earlier this year with the Friends of Israel. If you would like to participate in the love offering for Israel, please direct this offering to “Israel” on the memo line of your cheque to Legacy Christian Church and place it in the offering box by November 19th as we will send the monies collected on the 20th of November. We will have envelopes at Connecting Point for your use as well.
In obedience to Scripture, please “Pray of the peace of Jerusalem” Psalm 122:6, as Israel and Jews all over the world are facing a very dark time. God spoke to Abraham in Genesis 12:3, “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse…” His promise to Israel is as true today as it was then. Jeremiah 31: 36-40, “Only if these decrees vanish from my sight,” declares the LORD, “will Israel ever cease from being a nation before Me.”
This is what the LORD says: “Only if the heavens above can be measured and the foundation of the earth below be searched out will I reject all the descendants of Israel because of all they have done,” declares the LORD.
Please prayerfully consider your gift and be a blessing to the tiny Jewish (reborn – Isaiah 66:8) nation as we make a public stance against evil and in support of Israel, the apple of His eye. (Zechariah 2:9)
