*To protect the security of our church body, first time users will be provided a limited access profile until approved by Legacy staff. Full access profiles may take up to a week to be received.
Enter the email address of the new account to create. After clicking Next Step, the My Legacy portal will check to see if the email exists in the database and is linked to 1 person only.
If there is a match, then an email will be sent containing a Security Code. That code should be entered in the box provided on the My Legacy login page. (We recommend opening up a different tab or page when checking your email to access the code.)
If the email address is linked to more than 1 person, then the user will see this prompt: “Your email address is used by more than one person in the database. This system requires a unique email address that is used only by you because it will become your username for login purposes." Each person should have their own user email and account.
If there is no match, the same applies. Enter the Security Code Enter the security code that was emailed to the user.
This screen will be displayed allowing the user to enter/confirm existing info and set their password. ALL of these fields are required. The user will not be allowed to continue until all fields are completed.
After the user clicks the Setup Account button, their user account will be setup with a security Role of “Portal & Mobile (limited access)” This role grants access to everything in Portal except for the Church Directory and the ability to email members. A church administrator will make a determination whether the user should be granted access to the Church Directory and if so the user’s role will be changed. This may take up to a week to receive full profile access.
Update your full profile and add a profile picture for you and for your family! Just make sure to click "Save My Changes" once you're finished! We hope you really enjoy these new features!
In the Personal Information section, the user can set whether or not to be included in the directory for other users to see. However, we encourage you to only deselect which type of information you'd like to remain private instead of not including yourself in the directory entirely. See below on how to accomplish this:
